Citybuild has selected Igloo as its preferred development partner for the redevelopment of the Central Development Parcel in Hull?s historic Fruit Market.

The £100m riverside development "The Boom" has been given the final go-ahead by planning councilors and construction works is expected to start in autumn.

Local building firms invited to aim for top-quality awards.

Hull City Council is working with other local authorities in the Humber and South Yorkshire to launch the first annual "Built In Quality" Awards to recognise building excellence throughout the regions in 2006/2007

Hull Citybuild has submitted an outline planning application for the second phase of development at Humber Quays as part of the delivery of the City Centre Masterplan. The first phase has seen the completion of the first two office buildings served by a decked car park, as well as the creation of a stunning public plaza and new viewing areas. Construction work has also started on a striking apartment complex, Freedom Quay.

Four designers are exhibiting their ideas at a public display at Hull City Hall on Friday 12 October and Saturday 13 October. .Hull Citybuild have short listed an impressive group of four highly regarded developers and the proposals submitted are of an immensely high standard.
